The Grand Final Re- Match
The Butchers this week will travel down to the land of the ‘Red Scum” for what is shaping up to be the clash of the season
Last week the Butchers came away with a scrappy victory up at Helensburgh that saw them get the 2 points and put them equal first on the ladder.
It wasn’t the most polished performance from the Butchers. Starting very strong saw them complete a high percentage of the possession, but once the Butchers knew the game was there’s they took the foot of the accelerator and went down to the oppositions level.
Burgh played most of the game with 12 men due to a send-off and the Butchers couldn’t capitalise on being 1 man up.
A scrappy win but a crucial 2 points.
This week’s game is going to be an absolute classic, with potentially the winner being crowned minor premiers and a second bite at the cherry with the loser going to 3rd. The way the draw sits collies will finish 2nd and Thirroul or Wests can run 1st or 3rd.
The match ups across the park are mouth-watering. Johnson v Green, Walsh v Rodrigues, Higgins V Pellow, Ruskin v Rankmore, Sironen V Leatingaga and the list goes on.
IMO the game is going to be won by the butchers centre pairing of Dargan and Tatuhua, I feel with early ball they will attack the backrowers and centres of the devils and prove too big and too strong.
M.O.M – Damien Sironen
First Try Scorer – Ryan Fletcher
Good Luck to all 3 grades
