Thirroul Butchers have been saddened by the passing of Club Great John ‘Macca’ McCarthy
Our hearts go out to Roz and the Family and all team mates and friends. A true Butchers Legend, Macca had a massive impact on the our Club both on and off the field, and delivered Thirroul only their 2nd Premiership in 1973 as captain coach., Macca was a larger than life character who will be sorely missed by the whole Rugby League Fraternity and all that knew him
