Crosland name captain in the clubs 110th year

On Thursday night our 1st Grade coach Jarrod Costello named Hayden Crosland Club and Presidents Cup captain for the 2023 season.

Hayden is a Butchers junior has been a member of the First Grade side since 2015. Croso demonstrates the attitude and values that you want from players your team and in the club. Croso demonstrates a team first mentality, he is honest, loyal, hardworking and puts the needs of the team first. This is evident in the versatility he has shown over previous

years playing in the halves, fullback, centres and on the wing. Croso is a great trainer, he competes really hard on the field and leads by his actions which is critical in a leader. It is fitting and really well deserved that Croso leads the club in its 110th year with the Crosland family have a long and rich history at the Butchers. I am sure he will do a great job, Costello Said.

Hayden first Started with our junior club back in under 10’s in 2005, he has played Steelers juniors. and made his First Grade debut in 2015 season. Hayden was also a part of the Illawarra District side in 2021.

With his dad Darryl now a life member and Captain coach back in 1990 the torch has been past on to Hayden to lead the club into the future and hopefully to more success.

We congratulate Hayden on his appointment and wish him and the team all the best for the up coming season.
