Butchers looking to force their way back into the two
Rugby league is something the Butchers have been lacking the last few weeks with the bye and wet weather stopping consistent footy.
The Butchers are back on the hallowed turf of Gibson Park this Saturday to take on old rivals Dapto.
Dapto coming of a 20 point loss to competition heavy weights collies will be looking for a better performance than last week and try to cement 4thspot.
The Butchers will need to be at their best as prior to last week’s loss Dapto were gunning for 4 wins in a row. Thirroul will have the home ground advantage and with good weather set for Saturday a huge crowd should role into Gibbo to watch will be a great day of Footy with all grades playing, starting with the U18s at Noon. The 18s Game is a must watch as it’s the battle for top position as its 1v2.
Jarrod Costello will be hoping for his team to click into gear this week and put a full 80 mins performance, something they haven’t achieved this season, it’s a scary thought that this side hasn’t been at there best yet as they currently sit 3rdother sides will be taking note that this side at their best will be unstoppable.
I can see this game being dominated by the big men up the middle with the likes of Damien Sironen and the ‘evergreen’ Joel Ruskin taking full advantage of Dapto’s weakness up the middle and skipper Joel Johnson having a field day on the back end of that.
M.O.M – Joel Johnson
First Try Scorer – Blake Higgins
Good Luck to all grades this weekend
