At the clubs last home game, some of our past champions took to the field in an NRL master exhibition game against the Cougar Old boys.
Back in 2007 a group of old players got together and formed the Butchers Old Boys. For the past 10 years a team of the Old Boys have headed up to the Gold Coast each March to take part in the annual NRL Master tournament, over this time the boys have only last one game, not that any offical scores are kept.
The Old boys isn’t just about playing in the masters and over the years have helped out past players and officials financial, through fundraising. Each year the last home game of the year is Old Boys day where a heap of old players, officials and others that have been involved with the club get together on the eastern hill of Gibson Park for a few beers and old stories.
Any old players, officials or those that have been involved with the club in the past that want to get involved with the Old Boys, contact the club
